DKM Suspension Tutorial Minimize
Decisive Killing Machines
Posted on 29 June 2006 at 09:19:15 by Jaguar. | Source : Gotf | Print News Send To Friend
After some requests, the DKM Suspension Tutorial is now available here.
The scripts make a realistic looking suspension effect for vehicles, it is used by addon makers to increase the detail in the functions of their vehicles.

C-130 Minimize
Decisive Killing Machines
Posted on 09 November 2005 at 00:48:00 by Jaguar.| Print News Send To Friend
Shots of the new C-130 model. These pictures are just designed to show the "standard" C-130H model, which is a complete remake from the old model.
More shots will follow.
My thanks to Rockape for his great work on the both model and scripts for this addon.

All textures are temporary

C-130 progress report Minimize

It's been a long time without news. :)
The C-130 pack is still the main project for DKM, and we want to get it to the best standard we can. Already extensive remodelling has meant that two complete retextures needed to be created, which is not a particuarly fast process. Rockape and myself are both aiming for an as realstic as possible C-130, so parts keep being remade and refined and that takes time. When any addon has been attempted as many times as the C-130 Herculese has, it is important to get it right.

Work continues... Minimize

With the very, very good work of Rockape from RKSL studios, we are working on the C-130 pack and it is closer to gaining the features I intended.
Many parts are now animated and scripted, I won't list the features here as it will be better to suprise people. :)
As usual, no release date can be given, because really we don't know. We have not yet decided on the final list of versions and skins which will be included, though it is likely the majority will be made.
Many teams have already left OFP to take a break before Armed Assualt arrives.DKM has no intention of doing this, and we plan to continue until the work is finished, wether Armed Assault is released by then or not.
Please direct any comments or questions to the forums on this news or any other, where they will be answered as quickly as possible.

To be Continued ;)

M113-ADATS Minimize
Decisive Killing Machines
Posted on 28 July 2005 at 18:03:15 by Jaguar.| Print News Send To Friend
Entering the final stages of modelling and texturing is the M113-ADATS.

Shown above is the slightly older development stage, with the original M109 ADATS radar dish.
Release should be within a few months, it will at first be a basic addon with as close a visual representation (inside and out) as possible, and then updates with more advanced scripting, animations and such will be released when time permits.
Due to a recent poll, it has been decided that two config versions will be released. The first is more geared toward the traditional DKM addons, based around BIS's values and "scaled" to be effective in OFP. However, the 2nd version will be for those who want true-to-life missile speeds and warhead power (though these are often over-powered as real life values do not translate directly into OFP to simulate the same values).
Thanks to ThirtyG for taking the pictures.
(Note: pictures taken in VBS but addon is solely for Operation Flashpoint)

A poll on Air defence addons and player preferences is open in the forums.
Please vote, as the result will effect the M113 ADATS and other SAM/AA assets being made.

New site - new beginning Minimize
Decisive Killing Machines
Posted on 01 June 2005 at 10:23:10 by Jaguar.| Print News Send To Friend
As you might be able to tell, the new DKM site is up. Many people have been requesting this, so here it is. From this site you will be able to get all DKM addons, news and pictures. Important announcments on the addons being made can also be viewed here. The addons currently in progress are the M113 Air Defence Anti Tank System, a Canadian version of the already-released ADATS, which was based on the M109 hull. This addon will encorporate the usefullness of the original ADATS with the scripts and abilities of the Tunguska AA/SAM system. This project is based on producing as accurate a representation of the system as is possible in Operation Flashpoint.
The second addon in the works is the C-130 pack. This utilises the C-130 model by Extraction also seen in the Operation Gulf War Crisis mod, textured by DKM. It too will receive scripts and features in line with its real-life counterparts. Amoung these will be the ability to paradrop loads of supplies, weapons, and of course vehicles. There are almost 20 versions being made:
C-130:
USAF European Camouflage
USAF Camouflage
USAF Sea
USAF Grey (grey with white underbelly)
Plain Green (Versions: RAF*, USAF)
Plain Grey (Versions: Swedish, French plain, USAF, Iraqi Air Force, Polish, Royal Netherlands Airforce)
French Camouflage
Plain Black
Nogovan camouflage
TSF style camouflage
South African
Saudi
Jordanian Air Force Desert*
Egyptian Air Force Desert*
Israeli Air Force Desert*
Australian camouflage
United Kingdgom camouflage (normal and H30 versions)*
Civilian skins (various)
Canadian

Other models:
C-130H30/C-130J (Royal Netherlands Airforce, United Kingdom, France, etc)
Combat Talon II
MC-130H
MC-130P

*Versions marked with this may be donated and released to other teams.
More pictures can be found in the pictures section.

Below is an MC-130P pic.
